Born
in Steubenville, Ohio, Rich attended Kent State
University in Kent, Ohio, where he graduated with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications
with a concentration in Advertising.
After graduation, Rich went to work briefly for
Ketchum Communications and MARC Advertising in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, where he produced national and regional
advertising campaigns for television, print, and
radio.
In 1995, he joined WTOV-9, the NBC affiliate in
Steubenville, Ohio, as Creative Services Producer,
where he directed, wrote and edited commercials,
station promotions, and short-form content, including
programming under the NBC “The More You Know”
campaign umbrella.
Rich’s fascination with interactive design
began in 2000 when he left his position in television
to open Quintel Interactive and specialize in Web
development and CD-based multimedia applications.
Rich later sold his company to explore new creative
avenues, assuming the role as Creative Director
for a full-service business solutions provider and
then Director of Internet Development and Graphic
Design for a full-service creative solutions team.
In 2003, Rich founded KRD Creative Group to once
again provide superior Web design and development
services to corporations and nonprofit organizations.
Rich’s combined experiences include broadcast
production, copywriting, Web and interactive development,
graphic design, marketing, and media consulting,
and his list of credits include work with start-up
companies, dot-com businesses, non-profit organizations,
government agencies, and international corporations.
